1. Eastern Michigan University

Eastern Michigan University is a public research university in Ypsilanti, MI, just west of Detroit. It offers a program called the Eastern Tuition Advantage. The program gives free tuition to eligible students.

To qualify for this program you must:

• be an incoming freshman
• have a 3.0 high school GPA
• have a family income of less than $60,000 or be eligible for the Pell Grant
• file your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
• enroll as a full-time student

The program covers whatever your federal grants don't, up to 16 credit hours per semester for eight consecutive fall and winter semesters. It does not cover summer courses.

2. Oakland University
