The University of Scranton

About The University of Scranton

Originally founded in 1888, The University of Scranton is a selective private university that provides high-quality education programs taught from a Catholic and Jesuit point of view. It is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and its Kania School of Management has earned accreditation by the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business); only 5% of institutions worldwide have achieved this.

The school offers several of its graduate-level business, HR, and health programs online. As an online student, you can choose from programs like the Master of Business Administration (available with 7 concentration options), Master of Accountancy, Master of Science in Finance, Master of Health Administration, Master of Science in Health Informatics and Master of Science in Human Resources. Graduate certificate programs are also available in health informatics, supply chain management, enterprise resource planning, and health administration.

The online courses typically include the same rigorous curriculum and are taught by the same distinguished faculty as on campus. Most of these instructors hold a terminal degree in their field and are able act as mentors to their online students. The flexible format of the online courses allows students complete their coursework online and at their own pace (while still meeting weekly deadlines). Classes generally have a maximum of 20 students, which allows online students to network and connect with their peers.
