Drexel University General Information
Founded in 1891 by philanthropist financier Anthony J. Drexel, Drexel University is Philadelphia, PA's only co-op oriented university. Drexel University's co-op program is one of the largest and oldest in the United States and allows students to create a 5-year internship-based program around their field of study. Most of the internships are paid. The school enrolls more than 21,500 students, and nearly 13,600 are undergraduates.
U.S. News & World Report has consistently ranked Drexel University amongst the best schools in the country. In 2009, this school was ranked 88th among all universities in the United States. It has also ranked within the 50 best private universities in the country and was ranked fourth on the up-and-coming national universities list.

Enrollment Process and Information
Students are encouraged to visit Drexel University's urban campus and study the co-op program before applying to this university. Certain prerequisites are required for each school, such as three years of mathematics for the business school or at least one year of a laboratory science for the information science and technology school. Students must fill out the Drexel application, which they can complete and submit online, submit a nonrefundable fee and a letter of intent to be considered for admission.
