As an Internet marketing manager, you handle your company's Internet advertising and sales. You're also responsible for managing other employees working on the company's Internet marketing campaign. It's your job to ensure the company's brand is recognized online and that the marketing is effective in its online setting. You also must coordinate your marketing efforts with other departments within the company, such as advertising and accounting.

You may be required to use search engine optimization (SEO) techniques, social media outlets, and other online methods to develop your marketing campaigns and materials. It may be part of your job to hire, train, and dismiss employees. You may also work on budgeting a company's marketing campaigns to ensure they remain within the projected costs and produce the desired revenues.

Employers may also want you to have experience with the Internet and search engines. You should be skilled with computers, Internet research, and teamwork strategies. Organization and communication skills are also valued in this field.
</p><p>In some cases, you may need to have computer programming skills. You may also be required to know how to maintain and manage a website. Knowledge of computer word processing programs is typically desired as well.
