The Master of Social Work (MSW) program at CUNY York College in Queens take two years to complete (full time) and prepares graduates to work in social work practice, research, administration and policy making within the health care system. Students who have a bachelor's degree in social work may be eligible for the school's one-year advanced standing MSW program.

Columbia University

Admission Requirements for Master's Degrees in Social Work in New York City

Students applying to a MSW program must already have a bachelor's degree. Applicants who have earned their bachelor's degree in social work may be able to apply for accelerated or advanced practice MSW programs.
