The University of Miami offers 16-20 month online accounting master's programs that prepare graduates to take the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) exam, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) exam, Certified Management Consultant (CMC) exam, or Certified Internal Auditor exam. They offer three programs that students can tailor to their unique career goals: a 51 credit MBA with a focus in accounting, a 40 credit Master of Professional Accounting for Certified Public Accountants, and a 32 credit general Master of Professional Accounting.
Florida International University
The online or hybrid Master of Accounting program at Florida International University is divided into two tracks: a 16-month track for students with a bachelor's degree in business and a 10-month track for students with a bachelor's degree in accounting. Students take core courses in accounting information systems, global accounting, business analysis, managerial accounting, and government accounting before developing a specialization in assurance, tax, or analytics.
University of West Florida

Stetson University delivers its one year AACSB accredited Master of Accountancy program through a combination of live interaction with professors and coursework that students can compete on their own time. Accepted students take core courses in accounting theory, statistics, financial management, information systems, and auditing (and can choose to pick up an optional specialization in taxation).
Florida Southern College
Florida Southern College offers a 16-month Master of Accountancy program designed to prepare graduates for the CPA exam. This hybrid program consists of a majority of online coursework complemented with classroom meetings two Saturdays each month.
Florida Atlantic University
At Florida Atlantic University, students can complete a 2-year Executive Master of Accounting in Forensic Accounting 100% online or through a hybrid of on-campus and online coursework. Students take a mix of traditional accounting courses (like financial accounting, financial reporting, and cost accounting) with courses focused on fraud investigation, and forensic accounting.
Nova Southeastern University
Nova Southeastern University offers three concentrations in their Master of Accounting program: (1) a track in managerial accounting that prepares graduates to sit for the CMA exam, (2) a track in public accounting that prepares graduates to sit for the CPA exam, and finally, (3) a track in taxation that prepares graduates for either the CPA exam or the enrolled agent exam. Admissions Requirements for Online Master's in Accounting Programs in Florida
Most master's programs in accounting require applicants to have a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline. However, some schools just require applicants to have a bachelor's from an accredited school. As part of their online application, applicants might have to submit GMAT or GRE scores. Some universities waive the GMAT or GRE requirement for applicants with a high GPA, a graduate degree in business or a related field, and/or extensive relevant professional experience. In most cases, students whose first language is not English (or who come from non-English speaking countries) must submit TOEFL scores. Students might also have to submit a resume, official transcripts, personal statement, and letters of recommendation.
