General Information About Keiser University

In 1977, Keiser University was founded in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Today, the school has expanded to add 12 campuses across the state and an online division. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Degree programs prepare students for high-demand careers in fields such as business, technology and education. Classes are taken one at a time every four weeks. They are offered during the day, night or online to meet students' scheduling needs.

Enrollment Process and Information

Undergraduate applicants need to submit high school transcripts with their application; an entrance exam is required if ACT or SAT scores are unavailable. Aspiring students meet with a counselor to decide if Keiser University is a suitable environment. Graduate students must supply college transcripts with their application, as well as two letters of recommendation and a formal resume. An acceptable college grade point average or qualifying scores on the GRE are also required for graduate student enrollment.

Financial Aid Information

Keiser University offers financial aid in the form of grants, scholarships and student loans. Aid is either need- or merit-based. Grants and scholarships do not need to be paid back, but student loans must be reimbursed. Students must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for all three forms of financial aid.

Career services are available to Keiser University enrollees and alumni. Assistance takes the form of resume writing tips, interview preparation, career advising and workshops. An online career center lists available jobs to connect students with potential employers.
