How To Apply for Comcast Tuition Assistance
To apply for tuition benefits, employees must log in to the EdAssist website with their work email and PERNR. Follow the steps below to get started.
1. Submit Application
Once you've successfully logged into EdAssist and confirmed your email address, you can fill out an application. This will include your school, course information, and start date. Comcast Bright Horizons Smart Track Program for Eligible Employees
Comcast also offers a reduced tuition rate through its Bright Horizons Smart Track program, which works in partnership with the University of Maryland Global Campus. Eligible employees must be working on a certificate, undergraduate degree or graduate degree with UMGC and be approved for Comcast financial aid.
It offers up to 18 free undergraduate credits and up to 15 free standard graduate credits. There are plenty of online programs to choose from and no set technology or application fees.
Through Smart Track, Comcast covers up to $5,250 per year for undergraduate classes and $8,000 for graduate courses. Employees and their families can also get a discount of up to 25% off out-of-state tuition.
Steps To Apply for the Smart Track Education Program
To apply for Smart Track pricing, employees must first apply to and be accepted at UMGC. If you have taken classes at any other college or university, upload your transcripts to determine transfer credits. Once you have received your student ID and signed up for classes, submit an EdAssist tuition application.
When you complete the course, upload your grades to EdAssist so you can start the process for reimbursement. Your grades are available in your MyUMGC student portal. Finally, submit a letter of credit to UMGC, noting the total of $291 per credit hour for undergraduate programs under the Smart Track program, or the in-state tuition rate for standard graduate classes.
