If you want to study surgical technology, you can choose between a diploma, certificate, or associate's degree program. There are several California colleges that offer these options.

What You Should Know

Students who want to study surgical technology in California can opt to enroll in a postsecondary diploma, certificate or associate's degree program. Diploma programs cover the basic skills, duties and knowledge necessary to work as a surgical technologist. Certificate programs are similar in structure to diploma programs, taking about one year to complete.
