Can I Earn a Master's Degree in Asian Studies Online?
While on-campus master's degree programs in Asian studies are widely available, there are currently no online-only programs; however, some colleges may offer individual Asian studies classes online. In these Web-based courses, interaction with instructors and classmates is typically done via email and online learning platforms, such as Blackboard. Tests and assignments are usually due within specified time frames, similar to how on-campus courses are conducted.

Most Asian studies master's degree programs will ask you to select a concentration in a specific country, such as China, Japan or India. Most programs require you to have earned a bachelor's degree in Asian studies or in the humanities or social sciences with an emphasis on Asia.
</p><p>To graduate, master's degree programs in Asian studies require you to demonstrate an advanced competence in at least one Asian language that matches the country of your concentration. Typically, this requires you to take two to three years of college-level classes in your chosen language until you've demonstrated advanced language proficiency.
