What Will I Learn in an Online Nursing Refresher Course?

Nurses are required to complete a certain number of continuing education (CE) courses each year in order to keep a current license. The specific requirements vary by state. Classes include coursework and clinical contact hours required for re-licensure by state boards of nursing. You may take some of the following courses:

What Technology Will I Need?

You should have a computer with Internet access and adequate hard drive space. You will also need an email address that you check regularly. Most schools require you to have an office suite, such as Microsoft Office or OpenOffice, that includes word processing and PowerPoint software. Your computer will also need an audio card, speaker system, DVD player and Flash plugin to download digital audio and video files. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view PDF files.
