Carnegie Mellon tied for 25th in U.S. News & World Report's national university rankings for 2019. The school's Information Networking Institute offers several technology management master's degree programs, including a Master of Science in Information Security Technology and Management. This 16-month program combines management courses on information security policy and risk analysis with classes in networking and security. You can also select a cyber forensics and incident response focus. Other programs include a Master of Science in Information Technology with a concentration in software management. You'll spend the first two semesters in this program completing interdisciplinary coursework on Carnegie Mellon's Pittsburgh campus and the remaining time completing hands-on projects in Silicon Valley.

Its Executive Master of Science in Technology Management program can be completed in 16 months and is designed for IT professionals with at least ten years of experience. Instruction is delivered online, though you must also attend five in-person residencies. There are two residency tracks available, so you can choose between attending sessions at Columbia's New York City campus or at the Columbia Global Center in Paris.
