The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) maintains a list of GI Bill-approved schools. Purdue Global is on this list, as are other campuses in the Purdue system.

This means that qualifying students can use the GI Bill to pay for their education at Purdue Global.

Purdue Global is also a participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program, which helps students pay for any school costs not covered by the Post-9/11 GI Bill.

What Programs are Available to Veterans and Military Members at Purdue Global?

All programs at Purdue Global are available to military members and veterans, but the university also offers specific programs for those with military education and experience.

Purdue Global's PME2Degree programs offer college credit for professional military education (PME) and training.

Through this program, the military graduate is awarded 54% of the credits needed for an associate's and 45% of the credits needed for a bachelor's.

As a result, some students can finish their associate degrees in as few as five courses, or as little as eight months.

Additional Programs for Air Force and Space Force Members and Veterans

Two additional programs are available for Air Force and Space Force servicemembers and veterans.

The Air University Associate-to-Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC) is for students who have attended the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF).

It allows students to transfer up to half of the credits needed into one of the following Bachelor of Science programs:

• Cybersecurity
• Criminal Justice
• Fire and Emergency Management
• Health Science
• Information Technology with a concentration in IT management
• Legal Support and Services
• Nutrition
• Organizational Management
• Professional Studies

The General Education Mobile (GEM) program is an option for students who have started, but not completed, their Associate of Applied Science degree at the Community College of the Air Force.

Through this program, students can complete their general education requirements, a key step to earning their associate degree through the CCAF.

How Much is Tuition for Veterans and Military Members at Purdue Global?

Purdue Global offers a tuition discount to military members, veterans, and military spouses. Many military members also qualify for additional tuition assistance.

Military and Veteran Tuition Costs

The total cost of a program will depend on what level of program you're taking, how many credits you need, and if you are an active-duty military member, veteran, or military spouse.

Undergraduate degrees are usually $371 per quarter credit. Military rates are as follows:

• Active-duty service members: $165 per credit
• Veterans: $230 per credit
• Spouses: 10% discount

The tuition for master's degrees and certificates depends on the program, but they cost either $420 or $485 per credit. Military rates for these programs are:

• Active-duty service members: $320 per credit
• Veterans: $361.20 or $417.10 per credit, respectively
• Spouses: 10% discount

Doctoral credits are $700 a piece. For military members, the cost is:

• Active-duty service members: $560 per credit
• Veterans: $595 per credit
• Spouses: 10% discount

Military Tuition Assistance

Tuition assistance is available for military members. Army service members can receive up to $3,960 per year, while members of the other branches can receive up to $4,500 per year.

GI Bill Tuition

Many students qualify for reduced or free tuition through the Post-9/11 GI Bill. The amount you receive depends on the length of your service.

• 36 months or more: 100%
• 30-36 months: 90%
• 24-30 months: 80%
• 18-24 months: 70%
• 6-18 months: 60%
• 90 days months: 50%

The GI Bill also offers a monthly housing allowance to qualifying students, although Purdue Global does not offer on-campus housing.

Purdue Global also participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program. This program helps students cover costs not covered under the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
