Brookhaven College
Brookhaven College is part of the Dallas County Community College District. As of 2012, the program at Brookhaven leading to an Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology was in the process of becoming approved by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center
As of the spring semester in 2013, the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center will no longer offer a dual program leading to a Bachelor of Science/Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Radiation Therapy. Only the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate program will be available. You may be able to qualify for the program whether you hold a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science, providing you have completed the prerequisite courses. The 64-semester-hour program entails courses in such areas as medical terminology, radiation therapy, oncology patient care, pathology, radiation biology, medical dosimetry and research methods. You curriculum will include didactic courses, lab sections and clinical rotations at cancer treatment facilities. The program has received JRCERT approval.
