What is Electrical Design?

Electrical design entails planning, creating, testing, or supervising the development and installation of electrical equipment, including lighting equipment, power systems, power distribution, fire and life safety systems, electronic components, and voice and data communications infrastructure. Typically, workers in this field are electrical engineers with bachelor's or even master's degrees in electrical engineering.

Electrical Design Defined

In its most simplistic definition, electrical design is the design of various electrical systems. Many electrical design projects start with an idea that emanates from the marketing and sales department or the research and development division within a company. Electrical design projects might represent a new marketable product or might seek to improve an existing product or system.
