The 4-year accounting bachelor's degree programs featured below are all accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Additionally, you might wish to complete a master's degree or 5-year combination bachelor's/master's program, especially if you plan to earn Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification. Accounting Associate's Degree Program in Georgia

Savannah Technical College

Savannah Technical College (STC) is located in southeast Georgia. It's accounting programs are also offered at the school's Hinesville campus, which is about an hour south of Savannah. After completing the associate's degree program, you can manage payroll accounts, prepare individual income taxes and perform financial analyses. The program includes coursework in financial accounting, spreadsheets, payroll accounting, managerial accounting and tax accounting.

STC also offers an accounting diploma. This program includes coursework similar to the associate's degree program, but without many of the general education requirements.

Georgia Southern University's College of Business Administration and School of Accountancy are both accredited by the AACSB. Accounting Master's Degree Programs in Georgia

Georgia Southern University

Georgia Southern University offers an AACSB-accredited MAcc program with an optional concentration in forensic accounting. If you're planning to earn CPA certification, the university suggests pursuing this master's degree to meet Georgia's educational requirements for licensure. Program coursework includes topics in accounting law and ethics, corporation and partnership taxation, auditing, accounting information systems and financial reporting fraud. The AACSB-accredited MAcc program at UGA has concentrations in auditing, taxation and auditing systems. You can also choose electives from the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program area. These include topics in economics, finance, legal studies, real estate and risk management.

In addition to this 30-credit-hour curriculum, you must complete business foundation coursework in such areas as auditing and risk assessment, micro- and macroeconomics, financial management and legal regulation. Many students complete these classes during their undergraduate studies.
