An IEP may be developed through a local, state or other jurisdiction to meet the specific educational goals of an individual. Content is varied to fit a particular student and may or may not be sufficient to match a standard study curriculum in a regular secondary school or high school. </p> <h3 id="section---TradeCareers">Trade Careers</h3> <p>Many trade and vocational careers require completion of a school certificate program for successful entrance into the field. A nursing aide job in many states requires completion of a certification program that can incorporate classroom training, instructor-supervised practice and a probationary period on the job. Other typical certificate programs include data processing technician, heating and air conditioning technician, and child care provider.
